SECOND SEMESTER
AFTER SCHOOL OFFERINGS

We are excited to share the options available for Early-Bird, Extended Day, and Clubs for the second semester! These programs offer wonderful opportunities for your student to learn, play, and engage with their peers in a supportive and enriching environment. Below, you’ll find detailed information about each option, including schedules and registration details. EXTENDED DAY NITTY GRITTY:

In compliance with the Colorado Child Care license, all students enrolled in Extended Day activities must be signed in and out of each activity by one of the following:

 1. A faculty/staff member supervising the program (only if the child is moving from one after school activity to another).  

2. A parent/guardian. 

3. An authorized driver/person – e.g. carpool, nanny, or grandparent. The authorization must be on file in writing with the school prior to the student’s release.

If your child is not picked up by 5:30PM, a late penalty of $10.00 per 15-minute increment will be charged to the parent/guardian.

EARLY BIRD:
DROP OFF BETWEEN 7:30 - 8AM

Available Monday - Friday for all students
Begins Tuesday, January 7th

Students MUST BE walked into the school and signed into the
Early Bird Program by their parent/guardian or authorized person. 

$5 per day, billed monthly

Like first semester, we have combined Variety Club and Homework Club to bring you this fun extended day option. Students will have the opportunity to participate in
play-oriented activities or the older students can work on homework.

You may register your child at a rate of $13 per hour, billed monthly.

EXTENDED DAY:
PICK UP BETWEEN 4 - 5:30PM

Available Monday - Friday, for all students
Begins Tuesday, January 7th

Same as above, but later pickup.

“AS NEEDED” CARE

Havern offers "As needed" care for the Monday-Friday
Early Bird and Extended Day activities. This option requires Havern School to be notified prior to attendance. Notification is needed no later than the day-of for aftercare and 3:00 p.m. the day prior for before care.  While “as needed” is always an option, please consider a regular/consistent schedule.  This helps ensure there is the correct number of supervising adults per number of students as required by Colorado Childcare licensing.

CLUB NITTY GRITTY:

Each club is $225.00 per semester.
When registering for any of these clubs you are responsible for full payment, as that space is reserved to your child.

When picking up, please come to the parking garage door to sign out your student. If an authorized driver has not signed your student out of club, your student will be escorted to and signed into the Extended Day Program and you will be charged the hourly rate.

VIOLIN CLUB*

Mondays from 3 - 4pm
*Only for students who participated in violin club first semester

If your child participated in Violin Club last semester, we’re excited to continue their musical journey next semester! To re-enroll, please complete the registration form here. Note that this session is exclusively for returning students and is not open to new participants.

LEGO CLUB

Tuesdays from 3 - 4pm for students in HAP, 119, 120, 122, 140, 220, & 222
Starts January 14th

This semester in Lego Club, students will primarily be using Lego Spike Essentials bricks, combining hands-on building with computer programming to bring their Lego creations to life. The club will emphasize teamwork, with students working in pairs or small groups to create collaborative, theme-based designs. Please note that this club may be challenging for younger students who are not yet comfortable with independent computer use, as programming is a key component of the activities. Lego Club promises to engage and excite the Lego enthusiasts at our school!

SOCCER CLUB

Wednesdays from 3 - 4pm for students in HAP, 119, 120, 122,
140, 220, & 222
Starts January 15th

Soccer Club is an exciting after-school activity where kids can develop their skills and love for the game. Participants will learn teamwork, improve coordination, and practice fundamental soccer techniques through fun drills and friendly games. It’s the perfect opportunity for students to stay active, make friends, and build confidence in a positive, supportive environment.

EMBROIDERY CLUB

Wednesdays from 3 - 4pm for students in 140, 222, & 220
Starts January 15th

Embroidery Club is a creative and relaxing after-school activity designed for beginners and budding artists alike! Students will learn basic stitching techniques, explore their artistic flair, and craft their own unique designs. This club not only fosters creativity but also helps build patience, focus, and fine motor skills—all within a fun and supportive environment. Whether you're looking for a calming activity or an outlet for self-expression, Embroidery Club offers the perfect opportunity to unwind, connect with friends, and create something truly special.

TINKER CLUB

Wednesdays from 3 - 4pm for students in 119, 122, 140, 220, & 222
Starts January 15th

Do you enjoy tinkering and bringing creative ideas to life? If you love using everyday materials like cardboard, wood, nails, screws, popsicle sticks, and tape to craft imaginative creations, this club is perfect for you! This exciting new club at Havern School is a process-based maker space that encourages open-ended building with unconventional supplies. Some projects will follow a theme, while others will offer free-form opportunities to create whatever inspires you. Students will develop their design thinking and problem-solving skills, leading to innovative and unpredictable results. If you’re ready to tinker, imagine, and build, this is the club for you!

SEWING CLUB

Thursdays from 3 - 4pm, for students for students at least 46” in height
(so they can reach the pedal)
Starts January 16th

This semester in Sewing Club, students will dive into 3D fiber creations, crafting projects like stuffed animals, baskets, pillows, and mobiles. With the creativity and enthusiasm of our fiber artists, the possibilities are endless! As always, the focus will be on building sewing skills and ensuring sewing machine safety. Sewing and stuffing—what a delightful way to spend an afternoon!

MUD CLUB

Fridays from 3 - 4pm for students in HAP, 119, 120, 122, 140, 220, & 222
Starts January 17th

Cold, wet, and slimy—it's Mud Club time! Remember, it’s just dirt, and dirt doesn’t hurt! This club focuses entirely on hand-built clay creations, encouraging students to think beyond basic pots and explore more advanced designs with unique functions. Participants will experiment with both utilitarian and decorative ceramic art, while also working with air-dry clay or salt dough as needed due to the clay drying process. Join us on Friday afternoons and get ready to get messy and creative!
