Dear Havern & HAP Families,

As we move into the final stretch of the school year, I want to share an important update about our schedule for the 2025-2026 school year. Beginning next fall, we will introduce an updated soft start drop-off window from 8:00 to 8:15 AM, while continuing to offer our fee-based Early Bird option from 7:30 to 8:00 AM. This change is designed to create a smoother morning transition for students while maximizing instructional time. By letting families know now, we hope to give you plenty of time to plan for next year.

Additionally, this is your final newsletter reminder to purchase a yearbook for your student! The deadline to order is Friday, April 18th, and purchasing by this date ensures they receive a copy before school lets out. Don’t miss out—purchase your yearbook here today!

Nosh and Knowledge is a wonderful opportunity to see your child and their teacher interact in the classroom. Families will start the morning with a light breakfast before heading to classrooms for a fun, student-led reading activity. After a great time together, families will wrap up and depart through the front entrance.

4.23 | EMBRACE YOUR INNER MONKEY DAY

Stu-Co got creative with this one—everyone should wear yellow or banana-themed gear and bring their stuffed monkeys to join the fun! Stu-Co will also provide banana pens or pencils for writing. At lunch, students can enjoy bananas instead of applesauce, with Stu-Co supplying the bananas. Applesauce will still be available for those who prefer it.

Summer Tutoring Offerings

Several Havern staff members are offering summer tutoring to support students in maintaining and strengthening their skills over the break. Whether your child could benefit from extra practice in reading, comprehension, math, or speech. If you are interested, please reach out to them directly discuss their tutoring services, personal rates, and summer availability.

NSCD Expands Summer
Adaptive Sports Programs!

Many of our families participate in the National Sports Center for the Disabled's (NSCD) winter ski programs, and we're excited to share that they are expanding their summer offerings! NSCD now offers adaptive mountain biking, indoor/outdoor rock climbing, sailing, archery, kayaking, paddleboarding, and whitewater paddling.

There are a variety of camps and activities available in both the Denver metro area and Winter Park, including whitewater rafting, adaptive horseback riding, and lake days. Registration is now open for Front Range and Winter Park camps—check out the options here.

NSCD is also looking for volunteers, so if you know students in need of volunteer hours, this is a great opportunity!
