Dear Havern & HAP Families,

As we near the end of the school year, I wanted to send a quick reminder to families who have not yet purchased yearbooks for the last day of school. If you’d like to order one, please make your purchase ASAP to ensure it arrives on time.

I also wanted to inform you in advance about next year's extended day offerings. We will continue to provide early-bird care, homework club, and enrichment clubs from 3-4pm. However, please note that Variety Club will not be available for the 2025-2026 school year. We are doing our best to make sure there are plenty of structured enrichment offerings. As we restructure this programming, please note there will also be a change in pick up times—last pick up will be at 5pm. We hope this allows ample time to explore other aftercare options if needed.

Havern Autism Program Approved as a CDE Facility School—No Changes for Current HAP Families

We’re excited to share that the Havern Autism Program has been approved by the Colorado Department of Education as a licensed facility school! In Colorado, facility schools are programs that serve students referred by public agencies—like school districts—when a more specialized setting is needed to support a student’s learning.
This approval is a great recognition of the quality of our HAP program. For our current HAP families, nothing will change—you’ll continue to enjoy the same great program with the same student to staff ratios. Starting next school year, this will help us extend our reach and support more families by also welcoming those referred and funded through their local school districts.

Send your child in comfortable shoes and sunscreen—we’ve got lots of activities planned for a fun-filled half day!

• Theme of the Day: Mustache Day, thanks to Student Council! Mustaches will be provided.
  

• Morning Events:

  • Middle School vs. Staff kickball tournament

  • All-school Field Day with relay races, water games, and a chance to pie the Head of School!
    

• Parents, join us at 11:30am:

  • Free hotdogs and chips provided by HEART

  • Or bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with your child

  • RSVP below so we have enough food!

  • The Kona Ice Truck will be on campus from 11:30–12:30pm (20% of proceeds go to Havern)

  • Plus, strike a pose in our fun photo booth for just $5—every dollar goes toward helping our students fund their Washington, D.C. trip next summer!
    

• Dismissal at 12:00pm—please check in with your child’s teacher to sign them out before leaving. Reminder: if your child has medication at school, please make sure to stop by the front desk and grab them from Dara.
