Dear Havern & HAP Families,

I am thrilled to share some exciting news about a key member of our team. Jess Bandy has been an integral part of our community, demonstrating unwavering dedication to our students and families. Her passion for fostering a supportive and enriching educational environment has been evident in everything she does.

In recognition of her exceptional contributions and leadership, Jess will be stepping into a new role as Associate Head of Enrollment and Educational Programs. In this expanded role, Jess will oversee both the enrollment process and several of our educational programs. Her dual focus will allow us to ensure a seamless experience for new and current families while enhancing the quality and scope of the programs we offer.

As Associate Head of Enrollment and Educational Programs,
Jess will:

• Strengthen school programs by exploring opportunities for enhancement and introducing new offerings to further support our students’ diverse needs.
  

• Consult with with teachers on progress monitoring to ensure timely and detailed reporting of student progress.
  

• Conduct classroom observations to evaluate and support effective teaching practices, ensuring the highest quality of instruction.
  

• Support teachers in goal setting to enhance classroom practices and pursue professional development, fostering ongoing growth and excellence.
  

• Continue to lead outreach efforts like open houses, tours, and info sessions to attract prospective families and guide them through enrollment.
  

• Continue to build community connections through events and partnerships, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
  

Jess’s commitment to Havern’s mission, her innovative ideas, and her deep understanding of our students’ needs make her the perfect fit for this role. I am confident that her leadership will further strengthen our programs and help us welcome more families into the Havern community.

KNIPPENBERG PARENT WORKSHOP

Havern School is excited to host Craig Knippenberg, LCSW, M.Div., author of Shame-Free Parenting: Building Resiliency in Times of Hardship, Guns, and Social Media, for a talk titled The Care and Feeding of the Exceptional Parent. Drawing on over 40 years of clinical experience and his personal journey as an exceptional parent, Craig will share insights and strategies for letting go of parental guilt and shame, while building lasting, meaningful connections with your child.
